Polesworth Abbey Choir

Choir picture The choir meet for practice on Fridays and sing each week at the Sunday morning service at 10am.  We sing anthems and other special music on a regular basis.  Occasionally the choir sing at other services during the main festivals, on weekday evenings.

We also sing at weddings throughout the year (by arrangement), except during August (because of holidays).

The choir has it's own website at www.polesworthabbeychoir.org.uk - please visit and have a look around.

The choir consists of 18 junior and 13 senior/adult members.  At present there are no vacancies for our junior section, but any boy or girl who is interested in joining (from age 7 upwards)  should still contact the choirmaster for a voice test to qualify to be placed on the waiting list.  Any prospective adult members should also contact the choirmaster.

Youngsters will be taught the basic principles of singing and reading music and follow the R.S.C.M Voice for Life training scheme.  It is useful (but not essential) if prospective adults have a basic understanding of music reading and/or previous experience of singing in a four part choir.
